Sweet story of winning the Junior Gold Parking
TRIBUNNEWS.COM - IF Mohammad Iqbal did not obey his parents' suggestion to switch from sports football to wrestling, maybe fate will be different. Five years ago, in 2006, his father left it with Suryadi Gunawan, Samarinda wrestling coach, to be developed. Decision that is right.
This young man did have a remarkable talent. Evidently, five years later he won his first gold at the SEA Games.
Muhammad Iqbal won gold in 50 kg class freestyle wrestler after beating Thailand's son, Kritsada Benmart, in Jakabaring, Palembang (16/11). Gold is somewhat surprising because a wrestler 20 years is not targeted to be champions.
Iqbal also dedicate this gold medal to his parents, his father Nyompa, and the mother, Tanwir. He promised, a bonus of gold was used to buy a house for his parents. "Hopefully his money enough to buy a house, for my parents," said Iqbal.
